Sample testing of process stream dust to
determine particle size distribution for accurate system matching and possible
risk evaluation should be part of the record for every operation.
Note: Combustible
dusts and combustible metal dusts have different risk characteristics and
should be analyzed independently.
All customers should obtain and familiarize
themselves with the following documents:

Association (NFPA) #654 Standard for Combustible Dusts, #68 Standard on Explosion Protection by Deflagration Venting and #484 Standard
for Combustible Metals.

combustible. Hazard analysis is the only
way to determine risk and the necessary steps to mitigate and reduce hazard
