Uni-Wash wet dust collectors meet NFPA 484 standards for capturing combustible metal dusts from processes involving aluminum, magnesium, titanium, and zirconium (when paired with the AccuScrub Control Panel).
If your process involves these materials, Uni-Wash collectors significantly reduce fire and explosion risks, ensuring worker safety and compliance. They are self-contained with minimal water usage after initial fill and boast straightforward installation and start-up.
Low-Cost Operation
Using water as a filtration medium has its advantages for our UC series dust collector. Collected dust resides as a sludge in the bottom of the sump for easy removal or can simply be drained away. There are no disposable filters to replace saving money and air borne contamination hazard. Our scrub design also leads to a lower static pressure requirement in the machine, which means less horsepower is required. This lowers the cost of the machine and saves energy over the life of the machine.
High Efficiency Fan Assemblies
Scrolled fans substantially increase efficiency by reducing pressure needed to operate at a given CFM. We combine this with direct drive high efficiency motors. The result is lower operating costs over the lifetime of the equipment.

Orifice / Impingement Scrub
The large diameter, patented scrub cone assembly inside our UC series dust collector works above the water line. This orifice/impingement design never clogs or loses airflow as with submerged internal venturi designs which gum-up and impede flow over time. There are no pumps or spray nozzles to clog or fail with the Uni-Wash design.

Performance Upgrades
When handling applications that involve long duct runs or require after-filters, ensuring sufficient airflow and system performance becomes essential. To address this, performance upgrades can be implemented to boost static pressure – the force needed to move air through the system and overcome resistance within the ducts.
For long duct runs, air friction and resistance increase, which can lead to reduced airflow, especially if the duct system has bends or turns. Upgrading the static pressure helps maintain optimal airflow despite these obstacles, ensuring consistent performance across the entire system.
Similarly, after-filters introduce additional resistance as they further filter air post-primary filtration, adding to the overall load. Boosting static pressure in these scenarios ensures that air flows efficiently through both the main filter and after-filter, sustaining effective air cleaning and consistent system operation without overtaxing the equipment.
In essence, these performance upgrades support reliable airflow, maintain efficiency, and adapt the system for complex or demanding applications.
Sludge Conveyor
A single or double strand sludge conveyor is designed specifically to remove accumulated sludge from machinery. These conveyors are essential in industrial processes that generate large amounts of sludge as a byproduct, often in heavy-loading environments.
The conveyor system sits at the bottom of the machinery tank, where it continuously collects and transports sludge to a designated disposal or processing area. The single strand conveyor is suitable for moderate sludge loads, while the double strand model offers increased durability and capacity, handling heavier loads efficiently.
By removing sludge in real-time, these conveyors prevent build-up within the machinery, reducing the risk of blockages and ensuring smooth, uninterrupted operation. This maintenance solution not only extends machinery lifespan but also minimizes downtime, making it invaluable in high-demand industrial settings.
Stainless Steel
ProVent offers optional stainless steel construction for the UC series to boost durability and corrosion resistance, ideal for demanding environments. For Uni-Wash models, customers can choose a stainless steel tank (lower half) with a mild steel upper housing, a cost-effective solution. This setup protects high-moisture areas with stainless steel while reducing costs by using mild steel where less exposure occurs, ensuring durability and tailored performance.
Immersion Heater
For wet dust collectors installed in outdoor environments where temperatures may drop below freezing, adding an immersion heater is a practical solution. This heater is installed directly in the collector’s tank, where it keeps the water at a controlled temperature, preventing it from freezing. In colder climates, water in the tank can freeze without this precaution, which can halt operations, damage equipment, or reduce efficiency.
The immersion heater operates by maintaining a consistent warmth within the tank, even during extreme cold, ensuring that the water remains fluid and ready for dust collection. By preventing freezing,
it enables continuous operation, protects the collector’s components from potential damage caused by expanding ice, and saves on costly downtime or repairs. This addition is especially valuable for industries operating year-round in variable outdoor conditions, keeping their systems running smoothly regardless of temperature shifts.
Silencer
Installing a silencer on the exhaust of the UC series dust collector can significantly reduce the noise level, lowering it by approximately 7-9 decibels. This reduction makes a noticeable difference in industrial settings where equipment noise can contribute to an uncomfortable or even hazardous work environment.
We offer four control options for all Uni-Wash products. We are a UL 508A certified panel shop and all panels are manufactured to work seamlessly with our dust collectors.
